Drop Shipping Checker is run by [business name] (ABN [number]) in New South Wales, Australia. Questions or complaints: [email].
Short version: we use what you give us to run your check. We don't store your screenshots, we don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't sell your data.
What you send us
- The link, and the product name if you type one.
- Screenshots, if you add them. Your device shrinks them before they're sent. Use one that doesn't show anything personal, like your name or address.
Who sees what
- Our host, Cloudflare, runs the website. It handles what you send, sees your internet address and keeps basic logs for up to a week to keep the site working and safe.
- The shop. We visit its public pages from our server, so the shop sees a visit from us, not from you.
- A website registry service (rdap.org) and, for some addresses, the Internet Archive get the shop's web address, so we can see how old it is.
- SerpApi, our search provider, searches Google for us. It gets the shop's product photo, your first screenshot if we need it, and the search words. SerpApi may keep searches, including the picture, under its own privacy policy.
- Anthropic, our AI provider (the maker of Claude), gets the link, the name you typed, what we found and your screenshots. Anthropic says it deletes this within 30 days (longer only if it's flagged for a safety review) and doesn't train its AI on it.
- Google Fonts, Google and SerpApi. The page's fonts and the small pictures of listings load from their servers, so they see your internet address.
Cloudflare, SerpApi, Anthropic, Google and the Internet Archive are based in the United States, so your information may be handled there.
What we keep
- Screenshots: we don't keep them. They're used for your check and then dropped from our server.
- Results for a link: kept for up to 6 hours, so a repeat check of the same link is instant. This only applies to checks with just a link.
- A daily counter of full checks, so the free limit is fair. It counts against a random number your browser keeps for this site, and against your internet address (so people who share a connection each get their own free checks). We store only coded versions of both, which can't easily be turned back into them, and clear them at the start of the next day.
- Your recent checks are saved in your browser on your device. Tap Clear my recent checks to delete them.
Your choices and rights
- Don't want your screenshots to leave your device? Paste the link only.
- You can ask what we hold about you, or ask us to fix it, at [email]. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
- We'll update this page when anything changes, such as adding payments.
